Vodia Networks is a Boston-based company that works in the space of enterprise communications software. The goal was to create independent software that runs on standard servers and can be easily installed and maintained by IT staff. The history of the company goes back to the year 2005 when it sold its first PBX under the name pbxnsip. In order to address the cloud business, the company was renamed to Vodia Networks in 2012. Over the past ten years installations have clearly shifted from mainly customer premises to cloud.
Products & Solutions
The Vodia PBX puts VoIP phones, SIP trunks, PSTN gateways, web browsers and soft phones together as a telecommunication system. There are numerous features like auto attendants, agent and hunt groups than provide PBX functionality known from TDM-PBX. The software runs on a variety of operating systems, including Windows, MacOS, Linux, embedded systems and VM. It extensively supports security features like TLS, SRTP and ZRTP. It includes a SBC for near end and far end NAT traversal. The web browser interface can be used on a large range of devices without the need to install a soft phone.
